LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (ANS) -- This Christmas season, as you are roasting chestnuts by an open fire and Jack Frost is nipping at your nose, how would you like to have some Yuletide carols ringing on your cell phone and help an orphanage in Mexico at time same time?
Some of your favorite Christmas music, that you think is being sung by a choir, could actually be your cell phone ringing this Yuletide season.
According to a media advisory, music industry veterans have taken the traditional ring tones to a whole new level of quality.
"As went the cassette tape being replaced by the CD, so goes the primitive ringtones of yesterday which are now being replaced with the Ringtunes(TM) of tomorrow," the media release explains.
The company has developed a proprietary algorithm that is capable of delivering music at near CD quality to your cell phone, limited only by the quality of phone you have and the specific cell phone carrier's delivery system.
The company decided to launch a small website to pilot their innovative technology specifically geared to this year's Christmas season.
The idea is to 'ring in the Christmas season' by allowing people to download clips of their favorite Christmas songs as 'ringtunes' instead of the commonplace cell phone 'ringtones.'
www.ChristmasRingtunes.com has deals with all of the major cell phone companies so that anyone can simply download a Christmas Ringtune and have it billed to their cell phone.
It only takes a couple of clicks to get it delivered into your phone. So even if you're a non-techno, you won't turn into the Grinch when your cell phone is ringing in the Christmas spirit.
Unlike most ringtone companies, www.christmasringtunes.com does not require that you sign up for a subscription, and you will be able to download one Christmas Ringtune with no other commitments.
A great feature of the website is that you can listen to these fantastic Christmas Ringtunes prior to downloading and you do not have to register. There are 60 'ringtunes' to choose from.
So for this year's Christmas season, you can 'Hark the Herald' and 'let Heaven and Nature ring' with your cell phone.
"Silent Night," "Away In A Manger," "Twelve Days Of Christmas" and "Wish You A Merry Christmas" are some of the many favorite 'ringtunes' at ww.christmasringtunes.com
Funds raised by Christmas Ringtunes help finance the Christian Power Network performing arts for Christian youth programs and their new project that is in need of massive help, The Emmanuel Orphanage of Tijuana.
The orphanage needs fencing to keep the children safe. The Emmanuel Orphanage has over 70 boys from 6-16 years of age, and 22 girls.
Christmas Ringtunes is working on raising $25,000 to provide that fencing around the orphanage.
The media advisory says: "We ask that you download one of our Christmas Ringtunes to support the Emmanuel Orphanage, and to contact us if you are able to physically help us improve the conditions of the orphanage."
I've already chosen a 'ringtune' called "Jesus With Us," a contemporary tune by Brad Hooks, to ring-in the holiday season on my cell phone.
My other favorites, besides several versions of Amazing Grace, are "No Christmas Without You," and "You Will Find Peace in Christ."
Each download costs $2.99, and is supported by cell phone service carriers Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
