PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Monday, March 8, 2010 True Story Reveals The Brutal Life Growing Up As A ‘Son Of Hamas’ Co-author is a Special Correspondent for ANS By Dan Wooding Founder of ASSIST Ministries USA (ANS) -- Fear, violence, secrecy and danger were part of everyday life for Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding leader of the internationally recognized Palestinian terrorist organization known as Hamas.
A news release from Beverly Rykerd Public Relations states, “Now living in the United States, Yousef has rejected his violent past and is now risking everything to expose closely-guarded, never-before-told secrets in an effort to show the world a way to peace. “Since he was a young boy growing up in the West Bank town of Ramallah, Yousef has had access to the inner workings of Hamas, its political takeover of the Palestinian Authority, its violent efforts to destroy Israel and its drive to establish a Palestinian state. “As the eldest son, Yousef assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his father’s legacy, politics, status…and power. But everything changed when Yousef turned away from terror and violence, and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader.” Yousef writes, “…Few Westerners can come close to understanding the complexities of the Middle East and its people. But I do -- by virtue of a most unique perspective …I am a son of that region and of that conflict. I am a child of Islam and a son of an accused terrorist. I am also a follower of Jesus.”
