The Chinese Fair is said to be one of the fourth largest in the world. Its growth and stature is growing quickly and steadily with many first time U.S. and U.K. publishers in attendance.

“It is estimated that over 200,000 buyers will attend and the demand for books in English is staggering, since the Chinese Government has mandated that every student has to learn English,” said John Probst, co-author of “The Last of the Wagon Pioneers.”

He went on to say, “Not only will English language books be sold, but the publishers will sell the rights to publish the book in Chinese. There is an interest in American history in China.”

The China book market is estimated at $40 billion worldwide and the Beijing Book Fair runs from August 30 to September 3 of this year.”
