MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA (ANS) -- A group of Hindu radicals attacked a Christian evangelist and a believer traveling with him during a ministry visit on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Balaghat village in Madhya Pradesh State, India.

According to the Global Council of Indian Christian’s website (www.persecution.in), this incident took place as evangelist Mahendra Kharole (20) and Christian believer Munshi Prasad Bahe (30) went to pray for a family in the village.

As they were returning home at around 11:30 pm, six people on two bicycles, stopped them and accused them of engaging in “forceful conversion.”

The news source reported that the Hindu radicals then began to rain blows all over their bodies -- from head to toe.

It was learnt through the news source that Munshi Prasad Bahe was knocked unconscious after sustaining a head injury and Mahendra Kharole, suffered an injury to his right hand during the attack.

A complaint has since been lodged by the two Christians against the attackers at the nearest police station.
