Birth Choice Health Clinics and Leading Pro-Life Activists Ignite the Movement Towards a ‘Culture of Life’

By Dan Wooding
Founder of ASSIST Ministries

GARDEN GROVE, CA (ANS) -- Birth Choice Health Clinics (BCHC) and leading pro-life activists hosted a captive audience of over five hundred Southern California citizens who came together in support of the pro-life medical clinic organization. For BCHC, the evening was a celebration of 31 years of untiring commitment to pro-life work.

According to a news release, leading activists, each with a unique story to tell, truly ignited the movement to put “life” back into “choice” and encouraged the community to play a more active role in the fight for life.

The event took place last night, May 10th, at The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California.

“There is a tremendous need for pro-life health clinics, just like Birth Choice, to be available to college students who struggle with sexual health questions on a daily basis,” said Kristan Hawkins, Director of Students for Life of America (http://studentsforlife.org).

While Hawkins has tripled the number of pro-life campus groups in the United States over the past six years, she says that students still don’t know that there is an alternative to Planned Parenthood.

Birth Choice Health Clinics is privately funded and relies on donations to run its seven clinics, located throughout California, which provide free medical services, education and support for family, marriage, sexual and reproductive health - consistent with the respect and value of every life.

“Now, more than ever, is the time to stand up and support Birth Choice in its fight against abortion providers,” said Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and a survivor of an unsuccessful abortion himself. “We are the warriors that can turn this culture of abortion into a culture of life!”

Birth Choice Health Clinics serves any person, female or male, in need of reproductive health services. They believe that people will make life-affirming decisions about their sexual health when they are informed in an accepting, caring and truthful environment.

Kathleen Eaton, Founder and CEO of BCHC, encouraged the community to join the movement: “Over 50 million babies are aborted each year and California has the highest abortion rate out of any state in the nation. I am only one woman and I need each and every one of you to walk alongside me in support of life,” she said.

In the past six years alone, Birth Choice Health Clinics has impacted over 200,000 young people in one way or another. With continued support, Birth Choice Health Clinics will be able to carry out its strategic vision to open clinics across the nation and provide a life-affirming option to those with reproductive health needs.

Additional guests included Jason Jones, film producer of “Bella” and promoter of “October Baby”; Evan Wickham & Band, a well-known musical group that led the audience in worship; and even Renee Bondi, who showed up in support of the cause. About Birth Choice Health Clinics: Since converting from a pregnancy resource center to its current medical model just six years ago, Birth Choice Health Clinics (BCHC) -- http://www.birthchoiceclinic.org -- has become a viable life-affirming alternative to commercial reproductive health service providers. Owned and operated clinics currently include seven locations, six fixed and one mobile. Since opening our doors in 1981 we have impacted the lives of over 200,000 young people, with nearly 58,000 client visits since becoming licensed medical clinics in 2006. This success has resulted in repeated requests for expansion of the BCHC clinic model throughout Southern California and beyond. Being led by God, it provides caring, high quality and comprehensive reproductive health services consistent with the inherent value of every person.
