PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Wednesday, June 20, 2012 NDOP Wembley Bookings Go ‘Through the Roof’ During First Week of Ticket Line Launch By Peter Wooding Europe Bureau Chief for ASSIST News Service LONDON, ENGLAND (ANS) -- Within the first week of the UK's National Day of Prayer and Worship ticket lines opening and the launch of the official event website www.ndopwembley.com, bookings have gone through the roof as more than 3,000 ordered their tickets for this historic event. Latest figures indicate that more than 5,000 have now booked tickets, as
“The response has been really encouraging. This is a once in a generation event and to see Christians getting involved now at the very beginning of ticket sales rather than waiting until the last minute has been a huge blessing,” said Dean Seddon, who’s part of the Connect House Media team, who are handling all ticket enquiries. While NDOP Wembley organisers are encouraged by this early response, the vision remains for the stadium to be completely full on September 29, which means ticket sales will need to continue at a rate of 5,000 a week for this to be fulfilled. Dean explains why it’s so important for people to book now: “This is an event not to be missed, but also because of the way we’re allocating the tickets, the best seats are going first. So the first 30,000 are straight in front of the stage. We’re encouraging people to get their bookings in as soon as possible to guarantee the best possible view.” The ticket line is also receiving calls every day of at least two to three coach bookings from Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Cornwall and beyond. “If people want to book coaches they can call our ticket line and someone will spend time going through all the details and we’ll secure the seats for the church while they find out who’s coming. So it’s quite a personal booking. We can even do some negotiations with coach companies.” There has also been considerable interest from Christians coming from as far as Belfast, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Glasgow and even Indonesia.
NDOP Wembley organisers say the event will be an historic opportunity for the church of the British Isles from every denomination, stream, and tradition to unite at Wembley Stadium to pray for our nation. The programme which will run from 2-6:30pm on Saturday September 29, will be full of praise, intercessory prayer for our nation, teaching, and spiritual impartation.
