ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (ANS) -- Albuquerque’s Car Truck Gallery is donating a Ford Explorer!

We want to donate a car to someone who really needs one and deserves it as well. If you know of someone who this describes, use the links below to tell us.

Inspired by community outreach projects like “Secret Millionaire,” and “Undercover Boss,” Car Truck Gallery owners thought they could do something similar in Albuquerque.

Car Truck Gallery co-owner James Zanios said, “In this economy we are shown time and time again, that great people continue to give and be involved in the community regardless of the speed bumps life presents. The Zanios family powered up the ‘Car Truck Giveaway.’ We’re now seeking your assistance in picking where this car should go.”

Car Truck Gallery needs your help to determine who should receive the vehicle. They are looking to impact the life of a local individual or family that meets these criteria. a) They NEED a good reliable vehicle and b) they are ACTIVE in their community and/or c) they have had some sort of HARDSHIP and need a car to get back on their feet.

Help Car Truck Gallery acknowledge someone's good work or need putting this car in the right home, and help them spread the word about this great cause.

Here are a couple of nomination examples.

“Crystol is a single mother of two wonderful girls. She loves to read, write, and sing. She volunteers at her church and does a GREAT job with the kiddos. She was rear ended during the last snow storm we had and is in need of a good car.”

“I met Demisley as her newly moved into home was burning down. I found out that she was a single mom of two kids. She had just moved into our neighborhood a couple weeks before the fire. The next week the engine in her car blew the head gaskets and wouldn't run. She lost her job, then the house burnt down. The fire was featured on KOB News, and the community has helped some… but without wheels her options for recovery are limited.”

Joy Junction Homeless Shelter Founder and CEO Dr. Jeremy Reynalds said, “What a wonderful gesture. Maybe other car dealerships from around the nation could do something similar to help people in their respective communities.”
