PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Man Rescues Children of the Slums Gospel for Asia For Immediate Release
CARROLLTON, TX (ANS) -- “I have experienced what slum life is like, what it is to be poor and struggling for food,” relates Pastor Martin, a GFA-supported pastor who grew up in the slums of South Asia.
Although he worked hard to escape the abject poverty and began pursuing a career, the Lord called him away from that to serve the poor and needy in this slum. “People are lacking food; they are lacking clothes; they are lacking all their daily needs.” “Slum conditions are very pathetic,” Martin says. “Some slum children are living without parents, as orphans. Some are living in sadness. They don't have hope. Who will help them? “It is very common in slums for the children to abuse each other with filthy words.” Pastor Martin, who grew up in the slums, returned to serve the poor and needy in Jesus' name. Bridge of Hope Rescues Children and Families
“These children began behaving well for their parents. They learn prayer here; they learn good morals. Parents are surprised to see and listen to their children—how they act in their family.” More than 60,000 children and their families have experienced the Lord's love through Bridge of Hope. “From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for your dedication. Through your precious life and support, God is using us.” Pastor Martin to Bridge of Hope sponsors Millions yet Unreached
“Please, let's join together with a dedicated heart, with a loving heart, to carry this burden and lift up God's name, because there are thousands of families living without food, without hope, without vision.” Sponsor a Child? “Through this, God’s name will be glorified.” Sponsor a Child, please go to: http://www.gfa.org/sponsorachild/ Read all of Pastor Martin's testimony at: http://www.gfa.org/news/articles/returning-to-the-slums/
