IRVINE, CA (ANS) -- The Board of Sequoia Global Resources announces that Dr. Carl Moeller has accepted the position of president and managing partner of Sequoia Global Resources. Moeller joins the team, bringing his leadership to the global need for strategic alliances between international business and philanthropy.

Dr. Carl Moeller

Moeller is a leader who brings extensive experience in the area of Christian ministry and management. He comes to Sequoia from Open Doors USA where he served as president for nine years. Traveling extensively, Moeller has seen the need to revise how assistance is given by donors and institutions to help those in need.

Carl Moeller will be formally introduced to 450 Christian business leaders at an event being held at The Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey, California, September 15, 2012. This meeting, the annual meeting of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International, is committed to helping leaders re-engineer their businesses for the future.

Sequoia is influential in supporting various ministry initiatives in Africa, seeking the best of class in outcomes and methodologies. They are strategic in working with business leaders and foundations in the US. In South Africa they are aligned with key leaders in researching and supporting scalable ministry models, many capable of attaining a donor-free status through innovative entrepreneurial methods. Sequoia seeks impacts measured by the outcomes of powerful kingdom expansion ministries, leveraged by business leaders of influence.

Moeller earned his bachelor of science from Penn State University; his master of divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and he received his Ph.D in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah.

Moeller served at Saddleback Church as pastor to single adults prior to becoming president at Open Doors USA.

As Moeller transitions he says, “It has been a special pleasure to represent the believers who suffer for their faith. My new role enables me to continue having an impact in this critical space, as well as expanding how business leader can be a part of seed-thinking that can change the impact and value of donations and donors.”
