PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Thursday, September 6, 2012 ‘The Ultimate Conversation’ Book Tour Postponed Until Further Notice By Dan Wooding Founder of ASSIST Ministries ATLANTA, GA (ANS) -- The Ultimate Conversation book tour with Dr. Charles Stanley has been postponed until further notice.
“I've often found that when God lays me out for a time, it is so He can teach me something about who He is and what He wills for my life,” said Stanley. “He always has a good reason (Rom. 8:28). So I am looking forward to all He will communicate to me during this time.” This year not only marks Dr. Stanley's 80th birthday, but also his 55th year of ministry and In Touch Ministries' 35th anniversary. Plans for the celebration of these milestones in Dr. Stanley's ministry continue, as do expectations for his full and complete recovery. Dr. Stanley is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Atlanta where he has served for more than 40 years. From 1984-1986, he served two terms as the president of the Southern Baptist Convention, and in 1988, he was inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He is the founder of In Touch Ministries and a New York Times best-selling author. He has written more than 50 books, including How to Reach Your Full Potential for God, Finding Peace, How to Listen to God, Landmines in the Path of the Believer, Surviving in an Angry World, and Turning the Tide.
