BERRYVILLE, AR. (ANS) -- Contemporary Christian music pioneer John Michael Talbot now adds "Motivational Minister" to his many titles, traveling over nine months per year throughout the world renewing the faith of Christians of all denominations.

According to a news release obtained by the ASSIST News Service, it is this new direction which he captures in his new three DVD collection, “Nothing Is Impossible.”

Talbot shared in the release, “The old John Michael has died and the new one has been born again. This DVD captures the excitement and power of that rebirth.”

According to the news release, rebirth has been a recent theme for Talbot's ministry.

When a fire devastated Talbot’s monastery in April 2008, he began a new format of itinerant ministry traveling from parish to parish to raise money to rebuild his community's home. Concert tours were replaced by two- or three-night parish missions. It became clear that God was not only using his ministry to rebuild the monastery but to bring fulfillment to an original vision.

Talbot reflected in the news release, “God gave me a vision of itinerant ministry going from parish to parish in a time of great need in our culture. I believe that our current ministry is fulfilling that vision. The Catholic Church has nearly died in recent years, but God is raising us to new life in Christ if we will but accept it. We are rebuilding the church one parish at a time, and renewing hearts one life at a time!”

The news release said that today, Talbot's audiences are surprised to find he is no longer the man who simply sits with his guitar and sings sacred songs. Looking like a character out of scripture with long hair and flowing beard, Talbot walks amid the crowd as he preaches from his iPad! Talbot openly says, “I am a cool monk.”

Talbot continued, “We recorded this DVD collection live to capture all the excitement we are seeing across America in our parish missions. I want to reach as many as I can, and making this DVD was the obvious answer.”

He added, “Individuals to groups will benefit from the different topics covered and each of the three DVD’s contains teaching, prayer and, of course, sacred music. We wanted to provide this as a service for God's people and keep the price as low as possible. We produced this from our own production and publishing company as part of our not for profit ministry. We pray many will be blessed by it.”
