SEOUL, KOREA (ANS) -- On Sunday, October 7, 2012, Manmin Central Church of the United Holiness Church of Jesus Christ had the 30th Anniversary Service and Celebration Performance.

In 1982 the church was opened with 13 members in a small sanctuary located in Sindaebang-dong, Seoul in Korea. After 30 years, it has become a mega-sized international church that works together with around 10,000 branch and associative churches all over the world.

During the Sunday Morning Service, Reverend Dr. Jaerock Lee, the Senior Pastor of Manmin Church preached the message entitled “The Church that God Loves: Heaven” based on Isaiah 60:1-3. He offered up all thanks to God who has been leading the church to this 30th Anniversary. During Anniversary Service held from 3 P.M., he delivered the message “The Church that God Loves: Earth.”

After the message, Dr. Frank Wright, President of National Religious Broadcasters gave a congratulatory message and the benediction was pronounced by Pastor Jongman Lee (ret.) of Sung Kwang Methodist Church and President of Christian World Revival Mission Association (whose Chairman is Pastor Dongyoon Bae).

Several other prominent figures in and out of Korea including Dr. Duk-soo Han, Former Prime Minister of South Korea and his wife, and Ms. Youngsun Park, a member (Guro Eul District) of the 19th National Assembly of South Korea, Prof. Byungjong Kim at the college of Fine Arts, Seoul National University, and Pastor Fernando Borbon, Costa Rican Ambassador to Guatemala attended the services and received a warm welcome from the church members.

After the 30th Anniversary Service, a majestic celebration performance was delivered on a grand scale for an hour under the theme of “Heaven and Earth.” The performance expressed the love of God who guided Manmin for the past 30 years. The presentation consisted of a representation of the heavenly host and angels’ praise and dance performance as will be offered in ‘Heaven’ and a rendition offered up on ‘Earth’ by believers who have undergone the sanctification process of cultivation.

On Friday, October 5, the church had its 30th Anniversary Eve Performance under the theme of “Glory to God.” Various performances such as “Believers’ Entrance into the Wedding Banquet in the Air” and “Rainbow-colored Elf-like Heavenly Angels’ Merry-making Party” were displayed. They made the audience feel like they were in the actual heavenly banquet.

The events were produced with full HD quality and broadcast live to 176 countries via GCN TV and Internet. The performances will soon come out on DVD.
