The Mark, the movie

VISTA, CA (ANS) -- There have been a number of movies about The Mark – referring to “the mark of the beast” in Revelations in the Bible – but this one is really good. And quite different than others of the same title.

Gary Daniels

Starring Craig Sheffer (A River Runs Through it), Gary Daniels (The Expendables), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), Sonia Couling, Sarah Deakins (Final Cut), and Carey Scott (Jerusalem Countdown) The Mark is a probing thriller.

What makes this thriller interesting is that Chad Turner (Sheffer), a security personnel, found himself in a unique situation: against his knowledge and his consent, a surgical chip was implanted in him as an experiment and also as a means to get the chip safely to Berlin where it would be further studied.

Ad for the film

Chad was not a Christ-follower, not even a believer when the implant was insterted. He had heard the Gospel several times from his brother, but had not taken it as a serious option. But while on Flight 747, with a chip planted in his arm, and an evil power-play jostling for his life, his opinion drastically shifted from an unbeliever to a desperate seeker of truth.

The story unfolds around the scenario of a plane highjack – something close to the heart of many Americans. It touches on the much-talked-about subject of The Rapture and, of course, the Mark of the Beast. Thus, the film is timely and relevant.

The Mark is a product of Pure Flix – a Christian movie company that produces, distributes, and acquires feature films with the best quality standards for all Christ centered entertainment.

The Mark can be bought in DVD version in a variety of stores, including Walmart. Worth seeing. Good entertainment.
