PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Thursday, November 22, 2012 ‘Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups’ By Dan Wooding Founder of ASSIST Ministries HOLLYWOOD, CA (ANS) -- An all-new Disney holiday classic is born — Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups. Starring a brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever — Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble — it’s perfect for the whole family.
As every parent knows, raising youngsters requires a great deal of patience and perseverance, and SANTA PAWS and MRS. PAWS certainly have their paws full with their four adorable pups; HOPE (the daring tomboy who wears a backwards red cap and rarely looks before she leaps), JINGLE (the diva with a bell on her collar who loves to sing, but can’t carry a tune), CHARITY (the girliest and most self-centered of the pups with a mistletoe barrette, who has yet to learn the meaning of her name) and NOBLE (the mischievous only brother and self-appointed leader who is distinguished by a cheeky black spot around his eye). Despite undergoing rigorous “Santa’s Helper” training from Santa’s head elf and elf dog, ELI and EDDY, the Pups’ playful antics are constantly wreaking havoc on Santa’s workshop. Like their elders, the Pups long to wear their own magic crystals, which would give them the ability to grant Christmas wishes. Eli and Eddy promise they will receive them in due time, but patience isn’t yet a virtue the Pups possess. To prove they’re ready now, Noble hatches a plan to steal Eddy’s magic crystal and they secretly stow away in MRS. CLAUS’ sleigh when she sets off on her own mission, to find a new “Ambassador to the Santa Cause,” someone who will demonstrate the pure Santa Spirit all year round.
Meanwhile and unbeknownst to Mrs. Claus, the Santa Pups start granting joyful wishes to young boys and girls, hoping to prove they are more than ready to help their father Mr. Claus grant children’s wishes. However, the Santa Pups’ bold adventure takes a very wrong turn when they cross paths with CARTER REYNOLDS, Sarah’s older brother, who has lost his Christmas Spirit. The Pups accidentally grant Carter’s wish for “Christmas to just go away!” Before they know it, Carter’s wish becomes contagious like a Christmas Cold, spreading his lack of cheer with everyone he meets. Back at the North Pole, Santa Claus and his elves see a reverse of the Christmas multiplier effect; instead of positive Christmas cheer spreading through-out the world, it is vanishing! It’s become a Christmas Pandemic like nothing they’ve ever seen! Realizing the Santa Pups may be involved, Santa Claus sends Eli and Eddy down to Pineville to help before the Great Christmas Icicle melts away completely and Christmas is gone forever.
With the help of the North Pole team, Sarah and Carter bring Christmas Spirit back to the town through a beautiful holiday song, touching the hearts and souls of Pineville and beyond. After Christmas Spirit is restored and the Santa Pups have learned their lesson, they return with Mrs. Claus to the North Pole, having helped her to find not one but two young “Ambassadors to the Santa Cause” in Sarah and Carter. “SANTA PAWS 2: THE SANTA PUPS” stars Cheryl Ladd (Charlie’s Angels), Kaitlyn Maher (Treasure Buddies, The Search for Santa Paws), Danny Woodburn (Mirror, Mirror, The Search for Santa Paws), Pat Finn (Spooky Buddies), Josh Feldman (The Closer), George Newbern (The Father of the Bride), Obba Babatunde (Broadway version of Dream Girls), Tom Everett Scott (Air Bud), Marlowe Peyton (Applebaum), Tatiana Smith (Spooky Buddies), Aidan Gemme (Treasure Buddies), G. Hannelius (Treasure Buddies, The Search for Santa Paws), Richard Kind (Santa Buddies), Trevor Wright (Air Buddies) and Josh Flitter (“Santa Buddies”, “The Search for Santa Paws”) This cute movie is directed by Robert Vince and written and produced by Vince and Anna McRoberts. Original music is by Brahm Wenger (The Search for Santa Paws, Treasure Buddies). The Animal Coordinator is Mark Forbes (We Bought a Zoo, Treasure Buddies). Choreographer Mark Swanhart (Cirque du Soleil, Celine Dion in Las Vegas). If you are looking for a family-friendly film to bring some Christmas cheer to you and your family, this is one that comes highly recommended by me, and will especially bring joy to younger kids. It is now on Blu-ray combo and DVD.
