AUSTRALIA (ANS – November 20, 2015) — Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the hottest subject in science today. I have been working in this field for the past 30 years as part of my effort to develop a private and secure platform for e-business; and it is very interesting and satisfying for me to see these days come to pass. I am also interested to encourage discussion about AI because I agree with Stephen Hawking who said recently that it is important to ensure that the public understands what AI is all about.
I believe that I need to participate in this discussion because, although my approach to AI is not popular; it needs to be heard. Unlike most in the field, I do not believe that intelligence emanates from the physical brain. I believe that intelligence is synonymous with that nebulous entity called the human mind. To me, the human mind is the elusive Law of Laws, which is the intelligence of the universe that many call God (1). I believe, as the Bible says: “we are made in the image (mind) of God” (Genesis 1: 27)
My approach to Artificial Intelligence is based on the belief that nothing exists without human thought that works according to the Law of Thought, which is the Law of Laws. To me, it is impossible to understand how anything can exist without human thought. How the Law of Thought exists and works is the key to understanding true AI. And, believe it or not, this is what I found, that the “secret” code of the Bible explains.
And when you read this, you should know that there are two sorts of Artificial Intelligence. There is what is called “Narrow” or “Soft AI” which is widely used in the world today for specific applications; and there is “Hard” or “True AI” that is universally applicable; that the world believes is still to happen. You should also know that the popular scientific opinion is that, according to the concepts of Darwinian evolution, that, True or Hard AI will evolve out of the Narrow AI systems that are now available.
I don’t agree with this. I am on record for having said that I believe that the basic concepts of Darwinian evolution are not correct; that they defy natural law. I do not believe that Intelligence evolves. To me, this is like saying that the Singularity at the beginning of time that we call God, evolves; and to me, this is the same as saying that the Laws of Physics evolve; or that the numbers of mathematics evolve. Yes, I know and understand that change (evolution) happens. However, I do not believe that it happens contrary to natural law. I do not believe that there will ever be a time when 1+2=4, just as there will never be a time when the Law of Gravity creates anything but gravity. Likewise, our thoughts change, but the structure or container (vessel) of our mind never changes.

About the writer: Alan Metcalfe is a computer system scientist working in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet TV, and electronic business. He is also a widely experienced Bible researcher who unraveled the Bible Code and in 1999 discovered, in the Bible, The Law of Thought, which he believes is the key to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Whereas most in science believe that intelligence exists in the brain, and has evolved over time, Metcalfe studies the invisible human mind and believes that God is the only source of intelligence. Since 2000 he has been working with a team of computer programmers and engineers to build the Safe Worlds Internet TV platform and e-business system based on that discovery, that is designed to empower people worldwide to do Internet TV and e-business. Safe Worlds TV (www.safeworlds.tv) exists within the Internet, in parallel to the World Wide Web. Metcalfe claims that the Safe Worlds TV solves all the shortcomings of the World Wide Web; and not only delivers privacy and data security, but digital monetization.
