LAKE FOREST, CA (ANS – February 15, 2017) — Greetings from Southern California where meteorologists say more than 40% of the state is no longer in a drought, and we are expecting another storm with up to four inches of rain in what could be the strongest storm of the season.
As you may know, I and my son Peter, who lives in North Wales in the United Kingdom, will be attending the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, called Proclaim 17, in Orlando, FL, later this month (Feb.27 – March 2).
Many of you who are attending have probably made your plans regarding accommodation at the Convention. My colleague, Michael Ireland, from Minneapolis, MN, has also been trying to fit the Convention into his schedule. There are still a few flights available at a price he can afford, but he is having trouble raising enough funds to cover his hotel accommodation.
Michael would like to find an individual or individuals who would be willing to sponsor him in this reporting assignment by covering the whole cost of his hotel stay, or who wouldn’t mind sharing a hotel room or suite that has an extra bed or bedroom in the Convention hotel, which could be a gift-in-kind.
Is God leading you to help my long-time friend and colleague so that we may meet up once again? It is the only time in the year when we get together, and we would like to provide you, our faithful ANS readers, with the kind of coverage of this event that you have come to expect from us – ‘Your Global Link with the World’ — from a unique Christian vantage, by having a full team of reporters on site.
Would you be able to make it possible for Michael to attend this year’s Convention by helping to cover the full cost of his hotel stay, either by giving generously toward his approximate need of $1,200 to $1,500, including incidentals and other travel-related expenses, or the offer of sharing a place to stay in the Convention hotel?
If you are willing to help Michael financially, you may go to his fundraising page https://actintl.givingfuel.com/ireland-michael. Artists in Christian Testimony (A.C.T) International (www.actinternational.org), who handle Michael’s ministry funds, will receipt you directly for your donation. (If insufficient funds come in, any monies that are donated will go toward Michael’s regular ministry expenses).
If you can help, please also email Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org to let him know he can expect your gift of your generosity toward him, and also if you are able to provide him with accommodation please connect with him at that address.
If you are not attending NRB, but are willing to help fund this reporting assignment, you may still give at https://actintl.givingfuel.com/ireland-michael, and again, if you would kindly let Michael know you are helping at email@example.com, that would be great!
I know Michael enjoys covering this event for ANS, and meeting many of you who receive our unique stories on a daily basis. I also know how thankful he will be for your help in making it possible for him to attend.
A prompt response to this appeal would be appreciated as Michael needs to take advantage of the lower airfare while it is still available.
Many Blessings to you all!
