We’re Almost There…
By Dan Wooding, Founder of ASSIST News Service
LAKE FOREST, CA (ANS – July 31, 2017) — Dear ANS friends:
I wanted to let you know that we are almost there in raising the urgently-needed cash to get our website updated so our writers can again begin inputting their own stories. At present, I am spending many hours each day, inputting stories on behalf of our ANS correspondents because of a glitch on our site.
As I mentioned, this has been taking up valuable time during which I could be writing my own stories, and, more importantly, spending time with my son, Peter, and his family, who are over from the UK on a vacation.
Yesterday, for instance, I spent more than three hours trying to input a story for Brian Nixon, and yet it still didn’t come out as it should have done, and so I am going to try once again to fix it.
So far we have received several much-appreciated donations, but we are still short of the full amount of $700 that we need to get our website tuned-up and updated. So, if any of you could send your tax-deductible gift (in the US) to help us over the line, that would be so wonderful and will take the pressure off me.
We at ANS are an all-volunteer news service, and so we are dependent on friends like yourself to keep up going, so would you please prayerfully consider a gift today that will take us over the line and take a lot of pressure off myself.
There are two ways you can donate: Firstly, just go to www.assistnews.net and then scroll down to where it says DONATE TO ASSIST NEWS and enter the amount you are able to give, or, secondly, if you prefer a check, just make it out to ASSIST and mail it to PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609, USA.
By the way, if you are able to send a check, please drop me a line at email@example.com telling me the amount you have been able to donate, so I will be able to tally up what is coming in, and then once the full amount has come in, I’ll be able to get the work started on our website, and our writers will then be able to start inputting their own stories again.
Thank you in advance for your help. We are almost there and you can be part of that final push.
