STOKE-ON-TRENT, UK (ANS – January 14, 2017) — With just over five months until thousands of men are expected to gather in the heart of England at Stoke City Football Club for an exciting event called “We Are Men United,” organizers are calling on Christians across the UK to join them for a week of prayer January 15-21.
“It’s crucial more than ever before to pray for God turn to the hearts of the men in this nation back to Him. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone to join us this week to pray into some of the key areas effecting men including passion, power, purpose and position,” explains “We Are Men United” Founder, Simon Edwards.
Each day this week daily prayer guides will be posted on We Are Men United’s social media platforms @wearemenutd and every lunchtime at 1pm people will be able to join Facebook live prayer sessions.
Prayers for this week will include:
OUR PRAYER FOR MEN
Our prayer is that men would draw near to God, come alive in their faith, see Him at work in their lives and know that God has a great plan for them.
That they would know deep friendship, experience God’s increasing blessing and see themselves as leaders in life.
OUR PRAYER FOR “WE ARE MEN UNITED”
Our prayer is that “We Are Men United” would be a place of encounter with Jesus, where men are introduced to Him for the first time.
We pray that God would speak powerfully through marketing and invitations to the event, that church leaders would be connected to the event, that new promotional opportunities would emerge and that businesses would look to financially support and sponsor the event.
Finally, we pray that our entire team would be empowered, sustained and protected by God as we aim to do our best work for “We Are Men United.”
We Are Men United will bring together a diverse gathering of men from across the United Kingdom on May 27, 2017.
Some of the big names who are getting involved include Nigel Benn, one-time WBO middleweight boxing champion, former professional footballer (soccer player) invoy Primus, U.S. evangelist Andrew Palau and Martin Smith, are just some of the big names getting involved.
“We Are Men United” is an opportunity for men to stand together at Stoke City Football Ground in May 2017
