IRVINE LAKE, SILVERADO, CA. (ANS – October 6, 2015) – Those attending a unique outdoor Christian music festival featuring eight bands with influences from rock-a-billy to hard rock to hip hop style, planned for Saturday (Oct. 10), will have a chance to get up close and personal, even play horseshoes with members in a natural amphitheater-type setting.
“Test Fest OC is the only Christian music festival of its kind, especially in Orange County California,” first-time concert promoter Mario Trujillo said. “Where else can you go that you can see eight rock bands from national acts to local talent play in a relaxed park atmosphere?”
The nearly all-day (1 to 10 pm) event will be held at an already popular destination for large gatherings, including the Irvine Lake Mud Run, Country Western festivals, and chili cook-offs.
Event goers will be able to connect to the artists in another way, too. “Test Fest” is short for Testimony Festival and organizers have instructed those scheduled to appear on stage to also talk about their lives in regards to where they’ve been and where they are now.
“Testimonies are powerful. Personal stories about people who may have recovered from a treacherous past, such as drug addiction, can touch people in a way that’s incredibly moving,” Trujillo said. “That’s why Test Fest OC is special. It’s about great music and great stories!”
He adds, “Come to be entertained but don’t be surprise if you leave changed.”
There will be two stages, including a main stage, where headliners Manafest, Project 86 and Disciple, as well as others will perform. The second stage will host a “DJ Hip Hop” session, a BMX show starring legendary riders Jesse Puente and Jeff Carroll. Musical performances by David Upton and In The Midst 777 are also planned. Comedian Ron Ruhman is scheduled to host and three dynamic pastors are also slated to speak.
“Another cool event happening is that you can sign up to play horseshoes with or against the bands,” Trujillo said.
“Test Fest OC is unique because it’s more personal,” he said. “You are up close to your favorite bands. Get to play horseshoes against them as well. And do it all in our backyard of Orange County for about the cost of a movie and popcorn.”
