According to information released by the Enyu Church in Shaoyang, local authorities have

recently launched a large-scale investigation into a church-run summer camp. The report states that since late July, local police have been questioning church members who participated in the camp and, beginning in September, have placed several participants under administrative detention on the grounds of “using the guise of religion to disturb social order.” According to the information, six people have already been detained, and others remain under investigation.
The report also notes that dozens of minors who took part in the activities have been questioned and subjected to ideological education by their schools and the education department. Some schools reportedly issued public notices about the situation, and the information may be added to records. These measures have created psychological stress for some families and children.
The same source reports that the father of a believer named Luo Huanjie died from sudden heart complications after receiving a police summons and that some children were mocked at school after being accused of participating in “cult activities.”
According to the source, Shaoyang Enyu Church is calling on the public to pray for the detainees, the children who were subjected to investigation, and their families, hoping they may receive comfort, strength, and support amid their current circumstances. — China Aid Association
