WriterFest Nashville Returns to Lipscomb in November

J.T. Ellison will be one of the keynote speakers at WriterFest Nashville. Ellison is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.

Writers will have an opportunity to gain information, obtain resources, and hear personal narratives from successful writers during the WriterFest Nashville.  The two-day event will be held on the campus of Lipscomb University on Fri., Nov. 19 and Sat., Nov. 20.

Attendees of WriterFest Nashville will hear from keynote speakers including J.T. Ellison, Albert Lee and Aimee Nezhukumatathil

Over the course of the two-day event, attendees will hear from keynote speakers, participate in lectures and conversations with bestselling authors, world-class publishing professionals, filmmakers, poets and songwriters. Attendees will have an opportunity to be a part of five breakout sessions with over 16 to choose from. Participants will also hear behind-the-scenes stories and gain tips from songwriters and filmmakers.

The schedule will be divided into three tracks – “Hone Your Craft,” “Master Publishing Activities,” and “Learn the Publishing Industry.”

A few of the sessions offered will include “Writing Outside of Your Experience,” “Contracts & IP,” “Writing Partnerships: Agents, Editors and Authors,” and “Writing a Screenplay for a Budget,” and more.

Other featured speakers and panelists will include Becky Nesbitt, Dana Chamblee Carpenter, Dave Schroeder, Erica Ciccarone, Janina Lawrence, Jenn Hanson-dePaula, Jenny Hale, and Jeremy Spillman, among others.

The festival will be held on the Lipscomb University campus in Nashville, Tennessee. For more information, a schedule of events, and to register, visit www.WriterFestNashville.com. The cost of registration includes admission to the two-day event; lunch; keynote sessions; and a choice of over 16 breakout sessions with bestselling authors across a variety of genres, successful screenwriters, poets, songwriters as well as those behind the art – agents, editors, and producers. The event will kick-off at 9 a.m. on Friday. Participants can also add on Deep Dives this year.

Founded and Directed by Ami McConnell, WriterFest Nashville is a creative gathering for aspiring writers, published authors, screenwriters, poets and songwriters. This is the third year for the event, which was first held in 2018.
