Amy Grant was recently inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as the Classes of 2020 and 2021 were officially honored during a 50th and 51st Anniversary Hall of Fame Gala earlier this month.

Induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame is one of the nation’s highest songwriting achievements. The Hall of Fame has celebrated some of the greatest songwriters in Nashville since 1970.

To honor her induction, Grant’s husband Vince Gill took the stage to perform her song “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song),” and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Gretchen Peters presented Grant with the honor.

It was also just announced that Grant will join a star-studded line-up including Billy Ray Cyrus, Clay Walker, Pam Tillis, Sara & Olivia Evans, Steve Wariner, Tracy Lawrence and Wynonna for “CMT’s A Tennessee Kind of Christmas,” which will premier on Wed., Dec. 8th at 9p/8c. During the special, the artists will share holiday traditions, personal memories and unforgettable performances of all-time favorite Christmas songs from numerous iconic venues and outdoor locations in and around Nashville. The CMT original special will re-air during CMT’s Christmas Week, Dec. 20-25. For the latest updates, go to CMT.com.

Grant, a six-time Grammy Award winner, recently released the 30th anniversary, double-disc edition of her 5x platinum album, Heart In Motion. She is currently on a 42-city fall tour, performing songs that span her four-decade career, including hits from Heart In Motion. Early in December, Grant will join Michael W. Smith for several Christmas shows, followed by her and Gill’s annual Christmas at the Ryman Residency. For more news and tour dates, check out AmyGrant.com.

With three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums, her total career album sales have exceeded 30 million and over 1 billion global streams. Grant’s chart success has been consistent throughout her career with six No. 1 hits, 10 Top 40 pop singles, 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary tracks and multiple Contemporary Christian chart-toppers.

In addition to being honored with six Grammy Awards, Grant has earned 26 Dove Awards (including four Artist of the Year Awards) and has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as the Music City Walk of Fame and the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.
