The Sing! Audiences around the world will have the opportunity to hear celebrated speakers including the Gettys, Joni Eareckson Tada, John Piper, John MacArthur, Trip Lee, Anne Graham Lotz and more than 50 other speakers and seminar leaders.

Keith and Kristyn Getty occupy a unique space in the world of music as preeminent modern hymn writers and global ambassadors for the genre.

Honorary president of New Irish Arts, an organization that Keith founded in 1994, and perhaps best-known for the modern hymn, “In Christ Alone” (written by Keith with Stuart Townend), the Gettys have helped reinvent the traditional hymn form and invigorate an interest in hymns of a whole new generation of people, creating a catalog of songs teaching Christian doctrine and crossing musical genres.

Their campaign is part of a movement to encourage church congregations in their singing. Keith and Kristyn live between Northern Ireland and Nashville with their four children.

Keith Getty said, “This conference is a conference for pastors and church leaders on encouraging and reforming congregational worship. We want to celebrate how worship transforms individuals, families and churches, and strengthen and encourage congregational singing in churches. We would love for churches across the world to register for the live simulcast and to be equipped to stand in the boldness of the Gospel as they lead their congregations each week.”

Those who register for the live simulcast in advance will receive 20 free songs from the Gettys (courtesy of the simulcast host, PraiseCharts) and will this year feature the concert series at both the Grand Ole Opry House and the latest arena event at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena where the Getty’s will be featuring many of their favourite hymns in their own, unique style.

Getty continued, “The launch of the Sing! initiative was in many ways a celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation set in motion by Martin Luther whose vision for congregational singing, theology and music and the arts was utterly revolutionary in church history and more needed today than any time since.”
