Chippenham, England (ANS) – SAT-7, the Christian satellite TV broadcaster serving the Middle East and North Africa, is inviting families to join a special Advent Family Celebration with children’s TV presenter Gemma Hunt.

Gemma will join children’s author and SAT-7 External Engagement Director Martin Thomas in an online celebration on Saturday 5 December. With games, paper-chain craft activities, songs, stories, prayers, the event will also include participants join in a special lighting of advent candles live across the Middle East and North Africa region, to celebrate the light of Jesus coming into the world.

Martin said, “In a year when all of us, from Bethlehem to Birmingham, have experienced months of isolation from each other, it will celebrate how Jesus brings us together. We’ll hear again and celebrate how Jesus came alongside us and we’ll see how SAT-7’s Christmas programmes, produced by Christian media professionals in the Middle East and North Africa, help people to overcome their isolation, even across borders or if they may be the only Christian for miles around.”

“Please join us as a family, as a church, and also invite your friends,” Martin added. “The SAT-7 Advent Family Celebration will be especially suitable for families with primary and junior school age children, but everyone is welcome – especially grandparents!”

SAT-7’s Advent Family Celebration will take place on Zoom from 4.00-5.00pm on Saturday 5 December. The Zoom link to this event will be sent after registration at www.sat7uk.org/advent-family-celebration
