ASSIST News Service Deploys Reporting Team to Cover “Proclaim 18” in Nashville

LAKE FOREST, CA (ANS — February 24, 2018) – Dan Wooding, Founder and President of the ASSIST News Service in Lake Forest, California, is deploying a full-time reporting team of two journalists, as well as other part-time stringers, to help cover the massive Proclaim 18 media convention in Nashville next week.
It is the largest Christian media convention in the world and National Religious Broadcasters is the official sponsor of the event to be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, February 27-March 2, 2018. For more information, go to www.nrbconvention.org.
Peter Wooding, the younger son of Dan and Norma Wooding, will fly in from the UK to spearhead the team, and will also be doing TV reports for the Global News Alliance, while Charlottesville-based author/journalist Bill Bray will focus on news coverage international missions and guests. Both reporters have written for ASSIST News Service and other news outlets during past NRB Conventions.
Bray has covered the NRB for over 45 years and previously managed the NRB Press Room as a volunteer when he was a full-time editor for Christian Life and Christian Bookseller magazines. He is very familiar with the challenges of the huge event which has over 107 distinct news events crammed in three days.

In addition to reporting for ANS, Bray will autograph copies of his latest book from Zondervan WestBow Press, CALLED TO ALL, in Autograph Booth A on Thursday, March 1 at 1:00 PM. His wife, Ivy Bray, will assist and represent him at Booth 272 during the week where the book will be displayed by Christian Small Publishers Association.
The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) describes itself as a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators whose member organizations represent millions of listeners, viewers, and readers.
Since the 1970’s it has been the largest Christian media association in the world and is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals.

The annual NRB International Christian Media Convention is the largest nationally and internationally recognized event dedicated solely to assist those in the field of Christian communications. The dynamic Exposition consists of around 200 companies and is an active marketplace for those seeking tools and services to expand their organizations.
It has a large outreach to students and international visitors. Besides being a member the Evangelical Press Association and Christian Small Publishers Association, Bill Bray is president of the Overseas Students Mission.
Bill Bray, 70, is an author and special correspondent who frequently contributes to ASSIST News Service. He specializes in covering international student ministries, charities and foreign missions.
