North Wales, UK (ANS) – Hello my dear friends, this is a note from Dan Wooding in the UK. I just wanted to greet our dear readers of Assist News Service and wish you a wonderful Memorial Day. I do hope you are keeping well and enjoying our new website and email service. As you can imagine, a lot of work and expense has gone into both. Norma and I pray that you will stand with us to cover the costs of getting these stories out free of charge.

Dan and Jeff Thompson with Mercy Projects

We began the news service some 24 years ago and have published literally thousands of stories about the persecuted church, world missions, popular culture and how it affects Christians. Today we continue to publish the news service with the help of Mercy Projects in Murrieta, California.

Those Suffering For Their Faith Depend on our Stories

We have much to rejoice about with the release and escape of our sister Asia Bibi of Pakistan, and of course pastor Andrew Brunson from Turkey.  They and many others depend on our stories to tell the world about their plight. We must not let them down.

Norma and Dan with Louis Zamperini

My wife Norma and I, now back in the UK, are in our upper 70’s and have served the Lord all these years in faith, not taking a regular salary. I look fondly upon the stories your support has allowed me to do including the special interviews with “Unbroken” Louis Zamperini. (1917-2014) Louis was an American World War II veteran, a Christian evangelist and an Olympic distance runner, best known for being a Japanese prisoner of war survivor.

God continues to be faithful and the British healthcare system has been a wonderful blessing to us.  Our concern today is the expense of getting our ANS stories out to support those suffering for their faith. That is why we need your help.

Donate To Mercy Projects On Behalf of Assist News

When we began ANS, we took the decision never to charge for our stories but to give them away for free, and we intend to continue to do this. Many of you in the media use our stories regularly, and so if you feel able to contribute any amount to help us continue, that would be much appreciated. We are so grateful for the work of Mercy Projects and their efforts to keep ANS thriving.  They will issue you a tax-deductible receipt.

If you prefer to send a check, please make it out to Mercy Projects, write ANS on the memo line, and mail it to Mercy Projects, PO Box 685, Murrieta CA 92564.

Once again, I want you to know that we love and appreciate all of you who are part of our ASSIST family, and we are committed to serving you as long as we are able. So thanks in advance for those of you who can help! It means so much to us.
